Andrew and Christina Cyhan opened Homestyle Togo to provide vacationing families and busy locals with wholesome meal selections, that are prepared fresh daily with high quality ingredients and the utmost care. We draw inspriation from our eclectic backrounds and extensive world travel, to provide tasty and unique meal options. Homestyle represents the types of food we grew up eating, and the food we discovered while traveling. We offer a variety of prepared foods that can be taken home and finished off later, and many ready to eat items including gourmet burgers, sandwiches, salads and entrees.
Chef Andrew completed his first college degree in Chemical Oceanography at the University of Rhode Island but paid the bills by cooking. After graduation he set off traveling the world and finally found himself back in college at Johnson & Whales for culinary arts. He then moved to San Diego where he worked with Top Chefs. When Andrew returned to the east coast he opened his first business, Back Door Cafe just a few doors down from Homestyle to Go. Andrew then became Executive Chef at the Pacific Grill and later the Food & Beverage Manager at Pier 6600. Andrew has done catering for clients such as Ralph Lauren but is happy to be at home building Homestyle to Go and Crest Gourmet.
